Rosebush 3.

The impressionist painting depicts a lush bush of white roses bathed in soft morning light. The flowers are backlit, so that the delicate, almost translucent petals absorb the sunlight and glow with a warm, reddish sheen. This subtle glow gives the roses an almost living, inner warmth and forms a charming contrast to the cool freshness of the early day. The background is kept in a modern, slightly geometric style. Areas in various shades of green form a harmonious composition that adds both depth and structure without losing the natural character of the motif. The shades of green – from muted olive green to bright emerald green – subtly correspond with the white and pink reflections of the roses. The loose, impasto brushstrokes and the play of light and colour create an atmosphere of quiet vitality. The image appears both natural and abstract – a moment between reality and perception, captured in the fleeting splendour of the morning.

Irises dancing in the sun

The painting depicts a sun-drenched flower bed in which light blue iris blossoms shine in all their glory. Their elegant petals appear almost weightless, as if dancing in the warm light of day. Scattered among the slender stems of the irises are spherical ornamental onion flowers, which add charming accents with their round, purple-violet structure. The impressionistic painting style brings the play of light and shadow to life: shimmering colors and a soft glow create an atmosphere of lightness and movement. The picture conveys the impression of a summer's day when the flowers sway to the rhythm of the sunlight.

The dog weather tristesse

The painting depicts a vast landscape in which sky and earth merge in soft, harmonious tones. A cloudy sky stretches across the horizon, painted in soft shades of grey and blue, creating a calm, damp atmosphere. Below, a freshly mown cornfield spreads out, its warm brown and orange tones lending the picture an earthy, soothing contrast. Although the work conveys the impression of typical ‘doggy weather,’ there is no heaviness or sadness in the scene. Rather, the picturesque mood invites you to take a walk in the rain – to experience that special moment when raindrops cleanse the air, colours appear more intense, and nature radiates a quiet, peaceful power. Thus, the painting combines the softness of the grey-blue sky with the warmth of the earth to create a composition that does not dampen the mood but conveys serenity – an invitation to rediscover the beauty of rainy days.

Forest at Baerensee 3. - Old Oak

The impressionist painting shows a majestic old oak tree standing on the shore of the tranquil Bärensee lake. Its gnarled trunk and overhanging branches convey a sense of permanence and tranquillity. The oak is bathed in warm, golden light - rays of sunlight break through the canopy of leaves, casting dancing reflections on the ground and highlighting the autumnal foliage in vibrant shades of yellow, orange and red. In the background, on the opposite bank, a dense forest stretches out, also bathed in the warm colors of autumn. The trees are gently reflected on the smooth surface of the lake, lending the picture a dreamlike depth. The impressionistic painting style with soft contours and lively brushstrokes captures the fleeting beauty of the moment - a scene full of light, warmth and a quiet closeness to nature.

Mainau Garden 3. - Peonia Lactiflora

The painting shows a magnificently flowering shrub of Peonia lactiflora, also known as the sweet peony, in full bloom in the botanical gardens on the island of Mainau. The flowers of the shrub dominate the picture with their lush, silky leaves in a delicate yellow colour that fades into a soft white towards the edges. Each individual flower seems to glow from within, as if the sunlight is shining through the thin petals. The bush is surrounded by lush green foliage, which contrasts sharply with the pastel-coloured blossoms. The painting technique places particular emphasis on fine details: the texture of the petals, the play of light and shadow and the natural elegance of the plant are at the centre of the composition. It is a tribute to the beauty of nature and the botanical diversity of the island of Mainau.

Forest at Baerensee 2. (Bärensee)

With this painting, I wanted to capture the gentle melancholy and quiet power of an autumnal forest - a place of transition, light and stillness. The forest, which rises on a hillside, bears the signs of autumn. The late afternoon sun casts long, soft shadows of the trees on the ground. In impressionist style, the picture is not an exact depiction of reality, but an invitation to immerse oneself in the mood of a fleeting moment. The light is the actual motif, refracted in the foliage and blurring the boundary between sky and earth. The slope gently leads the eye into the depths of the picture and gives the viewer a feeling of vastness and at the same time a sense of security. As a work of art in the living room, this picture radiates calm and grounding. It brings a piece of nature into everyday life, a pause in the constant flow of time. The warm colour tones and the balanced interplay of light and shadow have a calming effect and create an atmosphere of deceleration. It reminds us that beauty lies in change - and that autumn is not the end, but a quiet new beginning. The picture thus becomes a quiet companion that creates space for breathing, reflection and inner contemplation.
