Forest at Baerensee 2. (Bärensee)

With this painting, I wanted to capture the gentle melancholy and quiet power of an autumnal forest - a place of transition, light and stillness. The forest, which rises on a hillside, bears the signs of autumn. The late afternoon sun casts long, soft shadows of the trees on the ground. In impressionist style, the picture is not an exact depiction of reality, but an invitation to immerse oneself in the mood of a fleeting moment. The light is the actual motif, refracted in the foliage and blurring the boundary between sky and earth. The slope gently leads the eye into the depths of the picture and gives the viewer a feeling of vastness and at the same time a sense of security. As a work of art in the living room, this picture radiates calm and grounding. It brings a piece of nature into everyday life, a pause in the constant flow of time. The warm colour tones and the balanced interplay of light and shadow have a calming effect and create an atmosphere of deceleration. It reminds us that beauty lies in change - and that autumn is not the end, but a quiet new beginning. The picture thus becomes a quiet companion that creates space for breathing, reflection and inner contemplation.

Small river

The impressionist painting shows a peaceful winter landscape not far from my house. A narrow, almost motionless river flows through the middle of the picture, running like a silent ribbon through the snow-covered landscape. Tall, bare trees line the banks to the left and right - their delicate branches reach up into the gray-blue winter sky and are gently reflected in the mirror-smooth water. The scene is bathed in a soft, diffuse light. The low winter sun breaks through the pale haze and bathes the snow cover in a soft, luminous white. Long shadows cast by the trees cover the snow and give the landscape depth and structure. On the near horizon, which is lightly dipped in mist, you can make out a shady copse - a quiet boundary between the river and the wider landscape. The color palette is restrained: cool blue, muted white and soft earth tones dominate the picture and create a melancholy, peaceful atmosphere.
