In the Black Forest

Due to my job, I spent a lot of time in the Black Forest near Rottweil from May until the end of 2021 as a commuter. After work, I tried to use my free time for hiking in the area and for painting outdoors. Many smaller landscape paintings originate from this time.

Autumn Leaves

This picture belongs to the series of pictures with the reflections of nature in the water surface of the ponds. In this picture I have used an impressionist style with the golden leaves of the autumn trees and the surface of the water reflecting the blue sky.

Autumn 2020

Since I could not make a trip to France in 2020, I started exploring the area where I live. Looking for motifs, in autumn I explored the northern edge of the Black Forest, which is only a few kilometres away. Black Forest is a beautiful area with deep dark forests, wide fields, mountains, deep valleys and picturesque villages nestled in this landscape.

Since I could not make a trip to France in 2020 I started to explore the area where I live. Corona conditional I have quite a lot of time available and I urgently needed new motifs for my pictures. At the beginning of summer 2020 I took a short hike on the banks of the Rhine near Karlsruhe. As an effect of the hike a few Études / sketches and larger images were created.
